Fragments I

Fragments is a series of four small framed works that began as one large painting. I painted directly onto a large piece of canvas attached to my studio wall, working freely with colour, layers and contrasts. Afterwards, I cut the canvas into smaller compositions, each becoming a work in its own right. I love how fragments of the original painting create entirely new balances and expressions.
