Street Musician

This is one of my favourite paintings. I love the stillness, the strong contrast and the solitary figure. Behind him, I see something resembling a musical instrument, although I prefer to leave it undefined. The restrained colours and loose lines give the work its atmosphere, brought together in a quiet, uncomplicated composition.
