The Fragile Child

This is one of those paintings I feel deeply connected to. Working intuitively with earthy tones, charcoal and graphite, the figure gradually emerged — a young girl drawn into herself. She was never planned, but seemed to appear almost on her own. To me, she carries a sense of vulnerability, uncertainty and fear, but her story remains open for the viewer to interpret.
