Who Turned Their Back on You?

This painting emerged during a time when someone I considered one of my closest friends deceived and betrayed me. Looking at it now, I can see something of the confusion I felt in the unusual palette, which is far more colourful and unsettled than my work normally is. The figures appeared intuitively, and the title came directly from what I was experiencing at the time.
